Abstract

Currently, houses in rural zones do not have rules and constructive methods that guarantee security and comfort for their inhabitants, this happens because of the high costs of conventional materials like cement, masonry, etc., in addition to the exaggerated costs of transport because of the big distances between populated centers and construction zones. Nowadays, the study of non-conventional materials, like vegetal fibres and wood, is being studied to verify their durability and resistance when being used in the construction and improving of houses in rural zones, so it can be taken advantage of the available natural resources in the rural zones farther away from populated centers, which are as well as the most vulnerable and in need of house.
