Extraction and comparison of essential oil eucalyptus (eucalyptus) obtained by you through the process of hydro-distillation and assisted hydro-distillation microwave

Abstract

This research project assesses the efficiency of two extraction techniques, hydro-distillation (HD) and assisted by microwave hydro-distillation (HDAM). For which eucalyptus leaves (Eucalyptus) and phylogenetic material used; this in order to obtain two reference points regarding the methodology and results part. Subsequently they were compared in relation to the amount of starting raw material and the total resulting essential oil for each process; 1:10 solvent: a ratio of raw material used. Which resulted in the (HDAM) on is more efficient than the (HD) because after comparing researched information on the sources state that assisted hydro-distillation microwave (HDAM) while having volumes justified tightest production and a more specific control variables, has a better yield if this process is to develop industrially.
