Abstract

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is understood as the responsibility that companies have for their impacts on society, where they recognize their social responsibility and assume it as part of their identity towards workers and interested parties, in Regarding sustainability, it refers to the impact that occurs in the face of the economy, the environment and social well-being, always seeking the balance and growth of these. In accordance with the above, the purpose of this article is to present the importance of corporate social responsibility as an instrument to strengthen the development of sustainability in companies. For this, an investigation is carried out with a qualitative approach and a descriptive scope based on documentary tracking. Within the main results it is possible to refer that the actions by the companies identified from the corporate social responsibility effectively contribute to the development of sustainability from the economic, social, and environmental spheres through the generation of shared value.
