The municipality of Palmira and its importance to ecotourism

Abstract

The following text deals with the subject of sustainable rurality, will present a research breakthrough in the implementation of degree work focused on administration oriented towards sustainability. For the argumental development of the found advances, it becomes necessary to expose the characteristics of the municipality of Palmira, its history and the physical, economic and social aspects that compose it, at the same time it exposes part of the problematic that is presented at rural level. They explain precisions on the concepts of Sustainability and Organizational Social Responsibility, from now on RSO, making special emphasis in the matter of the environment, from it are presented the results that threw the investigation opposite to the ecological tourism like new alternative for the economic development in the rural sector of the municipality. It concludes with a reflection on these new alternatives for rural development in the municipality and the importance of sustainability today for the preservation of the environment.
