Abstract

The purpose of this article is to reflect critically on the aspects comprising the construction of a protected area whether from public or private positions. It will be analyzed how the construction of a protected area leads to conflict among the diverse point of views from the involved social actors. This analyses will be carried out from sociological theories of scientific knowledge so that local actors will be allowed to meet their public commitment in order to generate social appropriation of space and the environmental problems; as a result of this, there will be understanding of environmental citizenship.
